The 2025 Emerging Leaders Program will take place on Wednesday, December 3 at the Westin Kierland Resort & Spa, in conjunction with the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium®.
Participants will receive complimentary registration and expenses paid for the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium and 68th Annual Scientific Meeting, and will be assigned a project for which the results will be presented to the AHS Board of Directors in June 2026 at the Annual Scientific Meeting in Orlando, FL.
Candidate Criteria
- Must be an AHS member in good standing for at least 1 year
- Must have completed a training program or terminal research degree within the past 7 years. Current residents and fellows will not be considered at this time.
Must Commit To:
- Attending (in-person) and participating in the initial day-long program and associated assigned learning
- Attending (in-person) the 2025 Scottsdale Headache Symposium
- Completing an assigned group project to present to the AHS Board of Directors at the Annual Scientific Meeting
- Virtual Mid-year Forum and associated assigned activities
- Attending (in-person) the 68th Annual Scientific Meeting
Application and Supporting Materials
Applicants must complete the online application form and provide the following supporting materials:
- Letter of Interest demonstrating your interest in organizational leadership, affiliations, positions held (volunteer or paid), academic appointments and other relevant information (with a strong emphasis on commitment to AHS and relevant leadership experience)
- CV
- Letter of support from an AHS member in good standing
Application Timeline:
- Monday, August 4: Applications open
- Sunday, September 14: Applications due
- On or about Monday, October 6: Final decisions to be distributed
