2025 Emerging Leaders Program

The American Headache Society’s Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) is dedicated to identifying and cultivating the next generation of leaders in headache medicine. Through this longitudinal program, participants will learn about opportunities within the Society—such as Committees, Special Interest Groups, and Task Forces—and take part in targeted leadership development activities, including a team-based project. Projects are determined by the Board of Directors and are of timely and strategic importance to the Society. Program participants will work closely with project mentors who are leaders in the Society and in the field of headache medicine. Mentors will provide wisdom and guidance to aid in the successful completion of the project.

The program fosters collaboration and networking, creating a supportive environment for building meaningful and long-lasting professional relationships. Upon completion, graduates will emerge with enhanced leadership skills and a deeper understanding of service, inclusivity, and engagement. The Emerging Leaders Program serves as a solid foundation for future success in leadership roles across organizational, institutional, and other domains. This program fosters and directly aligns with the American Headache Society’s mission and values. 

Health and Safety Policy

The American Headache Society (AHS) prioritizes the health and safety of all attendees at its events. We closely monitor guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local health authorities to implement best practices. AHS remains committed to adapting protocols as needed based on official recommendations. AHS requires all attendees, speakers, and sponsors/exhibitors to abide by any applicable rules of conduct and/or local or state laws that may be announced at any time before or during the event.
