About the Rotation
The headache rotation at Marshall University, Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, includes experience with both adult and pediatric headache patients, with exposure to a large patient population across the headache spectrum. Students will work with a UCNS-certified headache specialist and a fellowship-trained faculty member, and will gain experience with procedures such as botulinum toxin injections for chronic migraine and occipital and supra-orbital nerve blocks for other headache types. The rotation also offers opportunities to participate in ongoing clinical research in headache.
