Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI) in Phoenix, Arizona, is a focused neuroscience institute and internationally recognized leader in education. Drawing patients from the entire United States, Mexico, Canada, and worldwide, the BNI Department of Neurology has 14 subspecialty clinics in Epilepsy, Headache, Sports Neurology and Traumatic Brain Injury, Neuro-Ophthalmology, Neuro-Oncology, Neuro-Otology, Movement disorders, Neuromuscular diseases, Neurovascular and Stroke disorders, Alzheimer’s disease and Cognitive disorders, Neurocritical Care, Neuroimmunology, Neuroendocrinology, and Sleep Neurology. Our neurologists work closely with over 30 neurosurgeons and 30 PhD and MD scientists in state-of-the-art facilities. All BNI faculty hold academic title appointments with University of Arizona College of Medicine Phoenix and Creighton University School of Medicine. The Department of Neurology has nearly 70 faculty members and provides cutting edge care in a uniquely patient-centered environment. The Department has a traditional tripartite academic mission and provides care in a unique patient-centered environment, trains the next generation of physician leaders in the residency and fellowship programs, and conducts bench, dry lab, and patient-facing research. The Department includes large, out-patient state-of-the-art facilities, and an established network of resources including dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center, neuropsychology; social work; physical, occupational, recreational, and speech therapies; and acclaimed community outreach programs. Job Summary: The BNI Lewis Headache Center has state-of-the-art facilities including a dedicated outpatient neurology infusion center. The Center currently has three faculty physicians, a clinical psychologist, four advanced practice providers, a social worker, and a dedicated nurse. Our focus is to provide quality comprehensive headache care that exceeds patient expectations. The successful candidate may be either a clinician-educator or clinician-scientist. Responsibilities will include ambulatory clinics, procedures (botulinum toxin injections, SPG blocks, nerve blocks, etc.), occasional in-patient consultation, clinical research, and the opportunity to serve as an attending physician on the inpatient general neurology service.
Job Specifications: Candidates must be Board certified or eligible in Neurology. Fellowship trained in adult Headache Medicine or record of headache care (>2 years).
